In 1913, a very religious father killed his own daughter. He was sure she was possessed by a demon.

Julien, a farmer living in France, and his wife were arrested for beating their eldest daughter to death. Two other children of the couple have been charged with aiding and abetting murder.

The young girl reportedly told her parents that she was possessed by a demon. His family then decided to exorcise her. For this, they beat her until the demon left his body.
