A strange aerial phenomenon has stirred curiosity and concern in the quiet town of Pornic, in the Pays de la Loire region. According to a report submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), a witness claims to have observed a large, silent, triangular object with three red lights hovering above the Lidl supermarket parking lot around 10:05 PM.

The witness, a nighttime maintenance worker at the store, said he was sent out to his vehicle to retrieve a vacuum cleaner when he immediately noticed a "large mass" forming a huge triangle, slowly gliding overhead without making a sound. The object appeared to be flying very low — approximately 200 meters above ground — and was described as "very big", with the three red lights clearly marking its triangular shape.

He then approached a couple sitting in a parked car nearby to ask if they had seen it too. The woman reportedly became frightened, while the man expressed disbelief and began filming the object with his phone.

The employee ran back inside to get his colleagues, though they were skeptical and slow to follow. By the time they returned to the parking lot, the mysterious craft had disappeared. However, the young man from the car confirmed the sighting and showed the video he had recorded.

Together, the group later witnessed a single red light far in the distance, performing unusual movements before vanishing into the night sky.

According to the NUFORC report, the entire event lasted about 15 minutes, with the object seen directly overhead (90° elevation angle). Though brief, the sighting left a strong impression on those who witnessed it.

Triangular-shaped UFOs have been reported around the world, often described as massive, silent, and equipped with red or white lights — though their origins remain unknown.

As of now, no official explanation has been provided for the strange object seen over Pornic. The video captured by one of the witnesses could prove valuable in analyzing the event, as interest in unidentified aerial phenomena continues to grow worldwide.
